Abstract
Objective To observe the promoting effect of marine collagen peptide on the recovery after cesarean section in rats. Methods 96 SD pregnant rats underwent cesarean section on the 19th day of pregnancy and were randomly divided into 4 groups. Three dose groups were given 0.13 mg/day after surgery. , 0.38, 1.15 ¦Ìg/(kg.bw) doses of marine collagen peptide were intragastrically administered, and the blank control group was intragastrically administered with an equal volume of normal saline; 8 rats in each group were killed at 7, 14, and 21 days after surgery to observe the incision healing. , to measure the tensile strength and hydroxyproline content of skin incisions and uterine incisions. Results: The hydroxyproline content in skin wounds of rats in the group given marine collagen peptide 1.15 ¦Ìg/(kg.bw) was higher at three time points. Compared with the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); at 7 and 21 days, the skin tension of the rats in the group given marine collagen peptide 1.15 ¦Ìg/(kg.bw) was (354.45¡À200.45), (978.23¡À20.40) g/mm2, uterine pressure was (874.63¡À293.51), (818.20¡À227.52) mmHg, which were all greater than those of the blank control group (165.44¡À29.82), (379.21¡À171.46) g/mm2 and (684.52¡À220.16), (511.92¡À 86.48) mmHg, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); on 21 days, the skin tension of the rats in the group given marine collagen peptide 0.38g/(kg.bw) was (936.59¡À56.27)g/mm2, which was greater than that of the blank control group , the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Marine collagen peptides can promote wound collagen synthesis and promote wound healing after cesarean section in rats.
