Abstract
Bone loss is a serious problem during long-term space flight. Hydroxyapatite (HAP) crystals are the main component of bones, and collagen fibers in bones play a key role in the growth and crystallization process of HAP. Collagen was studied The changes in the fibrosis process under simulated microgravity and normal gravity conditions were observed, and the morphology of HAP crystals grown using collagen fibers as templates was observed. The results showed that the internal structure of collagen fibers formed in collagen solutions with different concentrations The number and size of pores under simulated microgravity conditions are significantly larger than those under normal gravity conditions, and the distribution of pores inside collagen fibers is also different from the results under normal gravity conditions. The collagen fibers formed under simulated microgravity conditions are used as templates to grow The HAP crystals are mainly cube-shaped, while the morphology of HAP crystals grown using collagen fibers formed under normal gravity conditions as a template is mainly plate-shaped. This result will help further elucidate the mechanism of spatial bone loss in the future.
