Abstract
An ultrasonic cell crusher was used to pretreat hydrolyzed collagen, and the changes in collagen structure before and after ultrasonic treatment were measured by FRIT, XRD, and TG. The results showed that ultrasound did not change the structure of collagen; a nanoparticle size analyzer was used to measure ultrasound. The effects of time and ultrasonic power on collagen particle size, as well as the particle size distribution of collagen before and after ultrasound. The results show that ultrasonic time and power can indeed change the particle size of collagen within a certain range. During the ultrasound process, large collagen molecules gradually change into small molecules, and the small molecules combine with large collagen molecules through hydrogen bonds. Treated collagen was used to synthesize a sizing agent, and then surface sizing was performed. By examining the properties of the paper after sizing, it was found that the particle size of the synthetic sizing agent was correlated with the properties of the paper after sizing.
