Abstract
This article successfully prepared bovine Achilles tendon type I collagen fibers using an acid-enzyme combination method. Its secondary structure is consistent with the structural characteristics of type I collagen. AFM results found that the collagen fibers were uniform in thickness, had a D periodic striated structure, and a diameter of 135 nm. ¡À0.20 nm, evenly dispersed in the solution and showing a porous micro-network structure; its tensile strength and elongation at break reach 1.293MPa and 93.77% respectively; its hydrophobic properties are improved compared to pure type I collagen, and the contact angle is 68.9¡ã, the water absorption rate, water retention rate and water vapor permeability are 37.13%, 19.44% and 2749.77 g/(m2/d) respectively; its porosity is 89.54%, and the average cumulative adsorption and cumulative desorption specific surface areas are 8.4251 m2 respectively. /g and 12.8046m2/g, showing the characteristics of large pore volume, small specific surface area and large pore size. Analysis of the microstructure and physical and chemical properties of bovine Achilles tendon type I collagen fibers provides a new and reliable theoretical basis for the deep processing, shaping and application of natural collagen fibers.
