Foam Separation Performance Of Collagen Peptide-Based Surfactant On Dye Wastewater

Abstract
Crystal violet solution was used to simulate dye wastewater, and the foam separation performance of collagen peptide-based surfactant (CBS) in dye wastewater was studied. The effects of factors such as pH, gas velocity, surfactant mass concentration, foam phase to liquid phase height ratio (HF/HL), initial dye concentration, and ethanol addition amount on dye separation in wastewater were investigated through single-factor experiments. The results show that CBS is suitable for foam separation of dye wastewater under alkaline conditions; as the gas velocity increases, the dye removal rate increases, but the enrichment ratio decreases; as the amount of CBS increases, the dye removal first increases and then decreases , the enrichment ratio decreases with the increase in the amount of CBS; when the ratio of foam phase height to liquid phase height is about 3, the dye removal rate is higher; adding an appropriate amount of ethanol is beneficial to foam separation; under better separation conditions , the dye removal rate can reach 80%, and the enrichment ratio reaches 16. The above research results show that collagen peptide-based surfactants can be used for foam separation of dye wastewater.
