Abstract
Objective To explore the expression changes of type ¢ñ collagen and tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase (TIMP-1) mRNA in the vaginal wall connective tissue of women in late pregnancy and the correlation between them. Methods 20 full-term vaginal delivery women without pregnancy complications were selected as the late pregnancy group. Another 15 cases of pre-menopausal patients without pelvic floor dysfunction who underwent total hysterectomy due to uterine fibroids or adenomyosis were selected as the control group, and immunohistochemistry and fluorescence quantitative PCR were used to detect type I collagen and TIMP in the specimens. -1mRNA expression level. Results The expression levels of type ¢ñ collagen and TIMP-1 mRNA in the late pregnancy group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Pregnancy and childbirth down-regulate the expression of TIMP-1 gene transcription levels, promote the increase in collagen decomposition, and weaken the pelvic floor support function. This may be one of the important pathogenesis mechanisms of pelvic floor laxity in late pregnancy and postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction. It is also an important factor in pregnancy and childbirth. An important cause of independent risk factors for PFD. For further information of this article and research, feel free to contact our team for asssitance.
