Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between type ¢ñ and type ¢ó collagen protein expression in liver tissue in the edge zone of hepatic alveolar echinococcosis (HAE) lesions and the biological behavior in the progression of HAE. . Methods From January 2012 to December 2014, 20 cases each of liver tissue at the edge of the lesion and normal liver tissue specimens 5 cm away from the lesion were selected from HAE patients in the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery Department of the Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University for HE and Masson staining. , observe the pathological changes and fibrosis degree of liver tissue around HAE lesions under light microscope; use immunohistochemical staining to detect the expression of type I and type III collagen in liver tissue. Results: The degree of fibrosis in the liver tissue at the edge of the lesion was grade II, and the degree of fibrosis in the normal liver tissue was grade 0. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The color rendering index of type ¢ñ and type ¢ó collagen in the liver tissue at the edge of the lesion were 7.45¡À1.85 and 8.00¡À1.62, respectively, which were higher than those of 3.10¡À1.02 and 3.50¡À0.89 in normal liver tissue, and the differences were statistically significant ( t=-9.21, P=0.001; t=-10.88, P=0.001). Conclusion Liver fibrosis exists in the tissue surrounding the lesions in patients with HAE. HAE may induce liver fibrosis by promoting the expression of type ¢ñ and type ¢ó collagen.
