Abstract
Abstract Purpose: To explore the ability of the new domestic GBR collagen membrane to induce early submembranous osteogenesis after implantation in vivo. Methods: The experiment was completed at the Animal Experiment Center of Shenyang Military Region General Hospital from October 2013 to March 2014. Miniature Bama pigs were selected, and three 8mm ¡Á 8mm full-thickness bone defects were prepared using dental fissure drills on both sides of the mandibular body. The experimental collagen membrane, Bio-gide@, and non-covering membrane were used to cover the bone defects respectively. The animals were sacrificed 1 month after surgery, and tetracycline solution and xylenol orange solution were injected intramuscularly 1 and 2 weeks before sacrifice. After fixing the samples, prepare hard tissue sections. The degradation degree of the membrane and the new bone formation capacity under the membrane were observed under a fluorescence microscope and an optical microscope (toluidine blue, methylene blue-acid fuchsin staining), and the amount of submembranous bone formation and bone maturity of the material were evaluated. Results: The collagen membrane of the experimental group had a good barrier effect, and the degree of new bone mineralization under the membrane was good; the bone trabeculae were arranged neatly, but the amount of new bone was less than that of the control group. Conclusion: The new domestic collagen membrane has no obvious degradation at 1 month and has good submembranous bone formation ability. The collagen membrane of the experimental group needs to be modified to increase the amount of submembranous bone formation.
