Abstract
Objective To explore the mechanism of sodium ferulate inhibiting collagen synthesis by hepatic stellate cells. Methods The 3h-proline incorporation method was used to detect collagen synthesis, the ELISA method was used to detect the effect of sodium ferulate on the secretion of transforming growth factor ¦Â1 (tgf¦Â1), and the mv1lu cell proliferation inhibition experiment was used to examine the effect of sodium ferulate on tgf¦Â1 activity. Results Sodium ferulate inhibited the synthesis of collagen in hsc-t6 cells under tgf¦Â1 treatment; it could reduce the expression level of tgf¦Â1 in hsc-t6 cells under oxidative stress; it also affected the activity of tgf¦Â1. Conclusion Sodium ferulate inhibits collagen synthesis by hepatic stellate cells and is related to its role in interfering with tgf¦Â1 activity and reducing the secretion of tgf¦Â1 by hsc-t6 cells under oxidative stress.
