Abstract
Previously (CMJ, 97 (1984), 10717-724) we reported for the first time that after long-term immunization of guinea pigs with human liver membrane specific lipoprotein (Humanliverspecific lipoprotein) and Freund’s complete adjuvant, we observed the process of collagen fiber production by liver cells in vivo. Using the same animal model, we also observed changes in the small bile ducts in the portal area, proving that their epithelial cells can also produce collagen fibers after immune stimulation.
