Abstract
Objective: To study the therapeutic effect of Zhuanggu Shenjin capsule (ZGSJC) on ovariectomized osteoporosis rats, and to explore the mechanism of ZGSJC in treating postmenopausal osteoporosis. Methods: Ovariectomized rats were immediately divided into model group, positive drug combined with estrogen group, ZGSJC high, medium and low dose group (crude drug 5.42, 2.71, 1.36 g¡¤kg-1), and a sham operation group. The mineralization rate (MAR), osteoid average width (OSW), and cortical mineralization rate (mAR) were significantly increased (P<0.01), and the expression of type I collagen was significantly decreased (P<0.01); compared with the model group, ZGSJC can significantly inhibit the decrease of TBV% (P<0.01), inhibit the increase of TRS, TFS, MAR, and mAR (P<0.01, P<0.05), and increase the expression of type I collagen (P<0.01).
