Effects Of Salidroside On Acetaldehyde-Stimulated Rat Hepatic Stellate Cell Proliferation And Collagen Gene Expression

Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of salidroside on acetaldehyde-stimulated rat hepatic stellate cell (hsc) proliferation, ¦Á1(i) type collagen mRNA synthesis, and i¦Êb and NF-¦Êb expression. Methods In situ hybridization, immunocytochemistry and gel electrophoresis mobility (emsa) were used to detect the proliferation and collagen gene expression of hsc. Results Acetaldehyde stimulated HSC proliferation and ¦Á1(i) type collagen mRNA synthesis, decreased i¦Êb expression and increased NF-¦Êb activity. Salidroside (0.5¡«2.5mg¡¤ml-1) can inhibit the above effects, and the 1.5mg¡¤ml-1 group has the best effect. Conclusion Salidroside significantly inhibits acetaldehyde-stimulated HSC proliferation and collagen gene expression.
