Effect Of Chlorogenic Acid On Production Performance And Antioxidant Capacity Of Chinese Soft-Shell Turtle

Abstract

This article explores the effects of adding different doses of chlorogenic acid on the production performance and antioxidant capacity of Chinese soft-shelled turtle. A total of 160 Chinese soft-shell turtles with an average healthy weight of (140.78¡À24.18) g were selected and randomly divided into 5 groups (group A to group E), with 4 replicates in each group and 8 turtles in each replicate. 0 (Group A), 100 (Group B), 200 (Group C), 400 (Group D) and 800mg/kg (Group E) chlorogenic acid were added to the basal diet respectively, and samples were taken on the 60th day of the test. The weight gain rate, body fat ratio and skirt ratio, skirt and muscle collagen content, muscle water, crude protein, crude fat and cholesterol content, plasma glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), and Superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) activities. The results showed that: 1) The weight gain rate of group C was significantly higher than that of the control group (group A) (P<0.05); 2) There was no significant difference in skirt ratio, body fat ratio, muscle water and muscle crude fat content between the groups ( P>0.05); 3) The skirt collagen content of each test group was significantly or extremely significantly higher than that of the control group (PB£¼0.05, PC£¼0.01, PD£¼0.01, PE£¼0.01), and the muscle collagen content of groups C and D The content was significantly higher than that of the control group (P£¼0.05); 4) The muscle crude protein content of group D was significantly higher than that of the control group (P£¼0.05); 5) The muscle cholesterol content of group C and group D was significantly lower than that of the control group (P£¼0.05) ); 6) The GSH-Px activities of groups C and D were significantly higher than those of the control group (PC£¼0.05, PD£¼0.01), and the SOD activities of groups B, C and D were significantly or extremely significantly higher than those of the control group (PB£¼0.01). , PC£¼0.01, PD£¼0.05), the CAT activity in group C was extremely significantly higher than that in the control group (P£¼0.01). It can be seen that adding 200 to 400 mg/kg chlorogenic acid can enhance the antioxidant capacity of Chinese soft-shelled turtle and improve its production performance.
