Reducing The Incidence And Extent Of Collagen-Induced Rheumatoid Arthritis In Lfa-1 Gene Knockout Mice

Abstract
Lymphocyte function-associated antigen (lfa-1) belongs to a family of adhesion molecules and plays an important role in cell interactions. By observing the incidence, radiographic and histological changes of collagen-induced arthritis (cia) in lfa-1 gene knockout mice, we explore the role of lfa-1 molecules in the pathogenesis of cia. The experiment used 100 ¦Ìg of type II collagen (cii) mixed with Freund’s complete adjuvant and injected intradermally into the tail base of lfa-1 knockout mice and normal control mice. The immunization was repeated 21 days later, and then the incidence rate was measured. , radiographic and histological analysis. The research results showed that after CII immunization, the average incidence rate of mice in the normal control group was 57%, and obvious radiographic and histological abnormal changes were clinically visible. The lfa-1 gene knockout mice showed no symptoms, and there were no obvious abnormal changes in radiographic and histological examinations. The above results suggest that lfa-1 plays an important role in the pathogenesis of collagen-induced arthritis.
