Abstract
Collagen is a large family of triple-helical proteins widely distributed throughout the body. It is a triple-helix structure composed of three ¦Á-peptide chains. They can be divided into seven categories based on their common domains, homology and functions, namely: fibril-associated collagens, reticular collagens, FACITs (fibril-associated collagens with interrupted triple helices), MACITs (membrane-associated collagens with interrupted triple helices) collagen), anchoring fibers, filament-forming collagen, MULTIPLEXIN (multiple triple helical domains and interruptions)/endostatin-producing collagen. In recent years, relevant studies have found that collagen is produced by pancreatic stellate cells (PSC) in the desmoplastic tissue matrix and promotes pancreatic cancer (PC) cell adhesion, proliferation, migration and chemical resistance.
