Abstract

Abstract: Objective To study the feasibility of artificial nerve-chitosan composite collagen catheter in repairing 15mm sciatic nerve defect in rats. Methods 10 rats with sciatic nerve defects of 15 mm were repaired with the help of artificial nerves. Seven rats with nerve defects served as the control group. Abstract

This article explores the effects of adding different doses of chlorogenic acid on the production performance and antioxidant capacity of Chinese soft-shelled turtle. A total of 160 Chinese soft-shell turtles with an average healthy weight of (140.78¡À24.18) g were selected and randomly divided into 5 groups (group A to group E), with 4 replicates in each group and 8 turtles in each replicate. 0 (Group A), 100 (Group B), 200 (Group C), 400 (Group D) and 800mg/kg (Group E) chlorogenic acid were added to the basal diet respectively, and samples were taken on the 60th day of the test. The weight gain rate, body fat ratio and skirt ratio, skirt and muscle collagen content, muscle water, crude protein, crude fat and cholesterol content, plasma glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), and Superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) activities. Abstract

Objective: To observe the effect of sodium tanshinone II Asulfonate (STS) on angiotensin II (angiotensin II, Ang II)-induced collagen synthesis and TGF-¦Â1 activation in atrial fibroblasts. Methods: Neonatal rat atrial fibroblasts were cultured, collagen content was detected, and collagen synthesis rate was measured by [3H]-proline incorporation method as an indicator of myocardial fibrosis. ELISA method was used to detect the content of active TGF-¦Â1 and total TGF-¦Â1 in the cultured cell supernatant. Westernblot determined the expression of thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1). Results: AngII could significantly increase the collagen content and collagen synthesis rate of atrial fibroblasts; TSP-1 expression and active TGF-¦Â1 secretion were increased, while total TGF-¦Â1 expression had no significant change. After STS treatment, except for total TGF-¦Â1, other indicators were significantly down-regulated. Conclusion: STS can reduce Ang II-induced collagen secretion and synthesis rate in atrial fibroblasts, and the mechanism is related to inhibiting the TSP-1/TGF-¦Â1 pathway.

Abstract

Purpose: To evaluate the change characteristics of uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA), corneal curvature and spherical equivalent after femtosecond laser in situ keratomileusis (FS-LASIK) combined with rapid corneal collagen cross-linking (CXL) to correct myopia, and to evaluate the combined surgical correction. Postoperative effects of myopia. Methods: Cross-sectional study. A total of 17 patients with 34 eyes of myopia who were treated in our hospital from January 2022 to December 2022 were included, including 15 males and 2 females, aged 17 to 24 years old, with an average age of (19.47 ¡À 2.15) years, and myopia. The time is (7.88 ¡À 1.71) years. All patients with myopia have cornea thickness at the thinnest point > 400 um, intraocular pressure between 10 and 21 mmHg, and have not received relevant ophthalmological treatment; have not suffered eye trauma, and have no obvious abnormalities in fundus examination or fundus abnormalities have not affected central vision; and have not worn corneal contacts. glasses or stop wearing contact lenses for at least 2 weeks. Objective To study the effect of external application of caper total alkaloid cream on tissue fibrosis in systemic sclerosis (SSc) mice. Abstract

HAP-CS composite scaffold of hydroxyapatite (HAP) scaffold and mixed chitosan (CS) was prepared using three-dimensional printing (3DP) molding technology, and the HAP-CS scaffold was modified with type I collagen (Collagen Type I). Abstract

Corneal alkali burns are a common type of eye trauma in clinical practice, with a very high blindness rate. Its mechanism involves corneal stromal cells, inflammatory cell infiltration, corneal collagen fiber degradation, various cytokines and their interactions. Accumulating evidence suggests that Tranilast possesses a broad range of pharmacological properties, such as anti-inflammatory, fibrotic reduction, and immunomodulatory effects. This article reviews the new findings of Tranilast in immune and inflammatory diseases and analyzes the application prospects of Tranilast in the treatment of corneal alkali burns. Corneal alkali burn is a common type of ocular trauma with a very high rate of blindness. Its occurrence mechanisms involve corneal stromal cells, inflammatory cell infiltration, corneal collagen fiber degradation, various cytokines and their interactions. Accumulating evidence suggests that Tranilast has a broad range of pharmacological properties, such as efficacy in anti-inflammatory, alleviating fibrosis and immunomodulatory effects. This review summarizes the new findings of Tranilast in immune and inflammatory diseases and analyzes the perspective application of Tranilast in the treatment of corneal alkali burns.
