Abstract The changes in collagen during the hydrochloric acid decalcification of fish scales were studied. Comparison with the total protein in the removal solution showed that when the hydrochloric acid concentration in the removal solution was <0.08 mol/L, the dissolution of collagen and total protein had a certain The same rule is that it increases with the increase of acidity; when the concentration of hydrochloric acid is >0.1 mol/L, the dissolution of collagen decreases with the increase of acidity, and the total protein still increases with the increase of acidity.
