Abstract
Objective: To study the effect of Salvia miltiorrhiza on hypertrophic scars. Methods: Using isotopic dynamic control, self-made Salvia miltiorrhiza ointment and pure matrix were externally applied to hypertrophic scars for 3 months, and the changes in scar tissue thickness and hydroxyproline content in scar tissue were measured. Results: ¢Ù The scar thickness in the medication group was significantly reduced compared with before medication (P<0.01), while the scar tissue thickness in the control group did not change significantly (P>0.05). ¢ÚThe hydroxyproline content of scar tissue in the medication group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion: It is proved that Salvia miltiorrhiza can inhibit the deposition of collagen in hypertrophic scars, significantly thin the scar tissue, and has a certain therapeutic effect on hypertrophic scars.
