Abstract
Using ion exchange method, 1-butyl-3-methylchloroimidazole ([BMIM]Cl) was used as raw material to synthesize imidazole acetate ionic liquid ([BMIM]Ac), and the two were used as solvents to study collagen. Dissolution behavior of fibers in imidazole ionic liquids and changes in structure and thermal stability before and after regeneration. The results show that collagen fibers can be dissolved in both CH3COO- and Cl-type ionic liquids, but have significantly different dissolution properties. Compared with the solubility of [BMIM]Cl, [BMIM]Ac can obtain a collagen solution with high concentration and good fluidity at a lower temperature, and the triple helical structure of regenerated collagen is retained higher. FTIR, UV, XRD, CD, and TG analysis results showed that the chemical structure of collagen did not change significantly before and after dissolution in imidazole ionic liquid, while the retention and thermal stability of the triple helix were slightly reduced.
