Taraxacum officinale is a large genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, which consists of species commonly known as dandelions. Dandelion is a very rich source of beta-carotene which we convert into vitamin A. This flowering plant is also rich in vitamin C, fiber, potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium, zinc, and phosphorus. It has been eaten for thousands of years as food and as a medicine to treat anemia, scurvy, skin problems and depression.ETChem produces Dandelion leaf extract and Dandelion root extract.
Dandelion root extract is made from the root of the plant and titrated in flavones and taraxasterols. Currently, ETChem launched three different specifications of the extracts, that is:
