Effect Of Bitongkang Pills On Tnf-¦¡ In Collagen Arthritis Rats

Abstract
Abstract Objective To observe the effect of Bitongkang Pills on serum tumor necrosis factor ¦Á (TNF-¦Á) in rats with collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) and explore its therapeutic mechanism. Methods A rat CIA model induced by type II collagen plus complete Freund’s adjuvant was established. 60 Wistar rats were randomly divided into 6 groups: Bitongkang pill low, medium and high dose groups [0.3 g/(kg¡¤d), 3 g/(kg¡¤d), 30 g/(kg¡¤d)], 3 g/(kg¡¤d) in the Yanbi granule group, 1.2 mg/kg in the methotrexate tablet group every week, and the drug was dissolved in 2 ml of normal saline, once/d, continuously for 4 weeks, and the model group was given 2 ml of normal saline per animal. The rats were sacrificed after 8 weeks, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect the serum TNF-¦Á concentration of CIA rats, and the changes in TNF-¦Á concentration levels of rats in each group were observed. Results The TNF-¦Á concentration level in the Bitongkang pill group was 1190.84¡À177.02, the TNF-¦Á concentration level in the high-dose group was 844.20¡À142.79, the MTX tablet group was 1149.40¡À182.17, and the Yubi granule group was 1215.83¡À102.07 ) was significantly lower than the model group (1724.67¡À247.26) (P=0.017, P=0.000, P=0.008, P=0.036). The serum TNF-¦Á concentration level in the high-dose Bitongkang Pills group was significantly lower than that in the mid-dose Bitongkang Pills group, MTX tablets group, and Yubi Granules group (P=0.006, P=0.018, P=0.009). Conclusion Bitongkang Pills can effectively reduce the expression of serum TNF-¦Á in CIA rats and inhibit synovial inflammation in CIA rats.
