Abstract

Objective To explore the intervention effect of Buyang Huanwu Decoction on rats with pulmonary fibrosis. Methods 144 healthy male SD rats were divided into sham operation group, model group, prednisone group and Buyang Huanwu Decoction high, medium and low dose groups using random number table method, with 24 rats in each group. Except for the sham operation group, all other groups used one-time intratracheal infusion of bleomycin to replicate the pulmonary fibrosis rat model. The sham operation group was intratracheally instilled with an equal amount of normal saline. From the second day of modeling, each administration group Corresponding drugs were administered by gavage, and the animals were sacrificed in three batches on the 7th, 14th, and 28th day after modeling, with 8 animals each time. The serum was separated, and radioimmunoassay was used to detect the levels of type III procollagen aminotelopeptide (PCIII) and type IV collagen aminotelopeptide (IV-C) in the serum of rats in each group. Results Compared with the sham operation group, the serum PC¢ó and IV-C contents of rats in each group gradually increased, and the model group was most obvious (P£¼0.01); compared with the model group, the serum PC¢ó and IV-C contents of rats in each administration group increased The contents were all reduced (P<0.01); compared with the prednisone group, the contents of PC¢ó and IV-C were significantly higher in the Buyang Huanwu Decoction middle-dose group on the 14th and 28th days and on the 28th day in the Buyang Huanwu Decoction low-dose group. decreased (P<0.05). Conclusion Buyang Huanwu Decoction can effectively inhibit the proliferation of collagen fibers and the deposition of extracellular matrix in lung tissue, achieving anti-pulmonary fibrosis effects.
