Abstract
The ordered structure of collagen in natural bone tissue was simulated to construct a multi-level ordered collagen liquid crystal film. Using the collagen non-liquid crystal film as a reference, the effect of the collagen liquid crystal template on biomimetic mineralization was investigated through in vitro biomimetic mineralization. The morphology and structure of the calcium phosphate salts deposited on the two templates after biomimetic mineralization at different times were analyzed using polarizing microscope, scanning electron microscope, atomic force microscope, and X-ray diffraction. The results show that the multi-level ordered structure of collagen liquid crystal has a relatively obvious impact on biomimetic mineralization; compared with the collagen non-liquid crystal template, the calcium phosphate salt deposited on the collagen liquid crystal template is not only microscopically ordered, but also macroscopically ordered. Also very orderly and dense. This shows that this multi-level ordered structure of collagen liquid crystal is beneficial to the construction of bionic bone tissue repair materials
