Abstract
Abstract Objective To explore the effect of palm ginseng ethanol extract (GcEE) on the synthesis of type I and type III collagen in the lung tissue of silica-infected rats, and to elucidate its anti-silicosis fibrosis effect. Methods 32 rats were randomly divided into control group and silica-infected group. group, GcEE treatment group and tetrandrine (TT) group. From the 2nd day after the establishment of the silicosis animal model, the GcEE treatment group and the TT treatment group were given GcEE [8 g/(kg¡¤d)] and TT[ 50 mg/(kg¡¤3 d)] treatment, the control group and the silica dust-stained group were given an equal volume of distilled water, and the rats were killed 28 days after administration. The synthesis of type ¢ñ and ¢ó collagen in the lung tissue was observed, and quantitative analysis was performed using an image analysis system. .Results GcEE can significantly reduce the lung coefficient of rats infected with silica and reduce the synthesis of type ¢ñ and type ¢ó collagen in lung tissue. Conclusion GcEE can significantly inhibit pulmonary fibrosis in rats infected with silica
