Abstract
Objective: To observe the expression of collagen I, collagen III and igf-i in the Achilles tendon of rats undergoing acute treadmill exercise, and to explore the response of the Achilles tendon after acute treadmill exercise in rats. Methods: 50 3-month-old SD male rats were randomly divided into control group, immediate post-exercise group, 12h group, 24h group and 72h group. Each exercise group performed a one-time exercise with a speed of 20m/min, a slope of 10%, and a duration of 40 minutes. The ELISA method was used to determine the contents of PINP, pIIINP and IGF-I, and the real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR method was used to determine the expression levels of procollagen I¦Á1mRNA, procollagen III¦Á1mRNA and IGF-ImRNA. Results: The levels of pinp and piiiinp in the Achilles tendon were significantly increased 72 hours after acute treadmill exercise (p<0.01), and the levels of procollagen III¦Á1mRNA at each phase 12 hours after exercise were significantly increased (p<0.05 or p<0.01). There were no significant changes in the serum IGF-I content, Achilles tendon IGF-I content, and Achilles tendon IGF-imRNA expression level in rats at each phase after exercise compared with the control group. Conclusion: Acute treadmill exercise can accelerate the formation of collagen I and collagen III procollagen molecules in the Achilles tendon, thereby accelerating the formation of collagen fibers and increasing the expression of collagen III at the gene level; however, acute treadmill exercise cannot increase endogenous Synthesis of sexual igf-i.
