Abstract
Abstract Sterility control can not only directly reduce the fertility rate of pest rat populations, but also affect individual social behavior, causing changes in hierarchical relationships and social structures within the population, thereby interfering with population reproduction. In order to explore the effects and duration of effect of different doses of cabergoline on the behavior of male rats, healthy male yellow-haired rats were intragastrically administered with 50 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg cabergoline, and on the 1st and 1st days after administration. Encountered with normal male rats on the 18th day, and encountered normal female rats on the 4th and 21st days, compared before administration (encountered with normal male rats and female rats on the 4th and 1st days before cabergoline administration respectively) and differences in individual behavior after administration. The results showed that: cabergoline reduced the time for male rats to explore and attack normal male rats, and reduced the time and frequency of male rats to attack normal female rats; 100 μg/kg cabergoline reduced the frequency of male rats to explore normal female rats. , and the frequency of grooming and resting of male rats was significantly reduced. This indicates that cabergoline can interfere with the social behavior of yellow-haired rats toward individuals of the same and opposite sex. In addition, on the 18th and 21st days after drug treatment, the social behavior of male individuals, same-sex and opposite-sex individuals was not significantly different from that before treatment, indicating that the effect of the drug on behavior will gradually disappear with time after drug withdrawal.
