Abstract
Objective To study the effect of Jiang Xinxia Granules on the expression of type I, III and V collagen in the lung tissue of ovalbumin (OVA)-sensitized asthma rat model and on the bronchial wall thickness. Methods OVA sensitization was used to establish an asthma rat model, and the efficacy of Jiang Xinxia granules on asthma rats was observed; immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of type ¢ñ, ¢ó, and ¢õ collagen in lung tissue; bronchial tissue was stained with HE and computer image analysis was used to measure airway Road wall thickness. Results Compared with the model group, Jiang Xinxia Granules can significantly reduce the asthma symptoms and inflammatory response of bronchial mucosa in asthmatic rats; significantly reduce the common bronchial wall area (WAt), inner wall area (WAi) and smooth muscle area (WAm) of asthmatic rats ( P<0.01); significantly reduced the expression of type I, III and V collagen in lung tissue (P<0.01, P<0.05). Conclusion Jiang Xinxia granules can significantly reduce the synthesis and deposition of type ¢ñ, ¢ó and ¢õ collagen under the bronchial epithelium of asthmatic rats, reduce the thickness of the bronchial wall, improve the ventilation function of the bronchus, thereby inhibiting the occurrence and development of asthma airway reconstruction.
