Abstract
H9C2 cardiomyocytes were exposed to 100 ¦Ìmol¡¤L-1 sodium bisulfite for different times (3, 6, 12, 24 h). Wistar rats were used as models for whole animal exposure. The SO2 group dynamically inhaled SO2 (7 mg¡¤m-3) for 28 days, 4 hours a day; the SO2+NALC (N-acetylcysteine) group inhaled SO2 under the same conditions, and received an intraperitoneal injection of 50 mg¡¤kg-1 every other day starting from the day of SO2 exposure.
