Abstract
Objective: To observe the effect of the combination of triptolide and glycyrrhizic acid on joint swelling and serum TNF-¦Á and IL-10 levels in CIA model rats. Methods: 60 arthritis model rats were successfully induced using type II collagen, and were randomly divided into model group, triptolide group, glycyrrhizic acid group, Thundergrass 1 group, Thundergrass 2 group and Thundergrass 3 group. Set up another blank group. The arthritis index and joint swelling degree were used as the evaluation criteria for the efficacy, and the ELISA method was used to detect the levels of anti-type II collagen antibodies, TNF-¦Á and IL-10 in rat serum. Results: After treatment with triptolide combined with glycyrrhizic acid, the arthritis index and joint swelling of the model rats were significantly reduced (P<0.01), and the levels of anti-type II collagen antibodies and TNF-¦Á in the serum were significantly reduced, while IL -10 levels were significantly increased (P£¼0.05, P£¼0.01). Conclusion: The combination of glycyrrhizic acid and triptolide in the treatment of CIA can reduce the dosage of triptolide while maintaining the efficacy.
