Abstract
Objective: To study the effect of wild chrysanthemum water extract on collagen and signal conduction in myocardial tissue of rats under pressure load. Methods: Incomplete abdominal aortic banding (AAB) was used to create a rat model of cardiac hypertrophy and ventricular remodeling. After 35 days of drug intervention, the blood pressure and heart mass index of the rats were measured, pathological sections of the left ventricular myocardium were taken, and the myocardium cell cross-section area (MCCS) was measured by HE staining; the collagen volume fraction of myocardial tissue was measured by picric acid sirius scarlet staining ( collagen volume fraction (CVF), measuring perivascular collagen area (PVCA) and the content of type I and III collagen in myocardium; immunohistochemistry was used to measure the content of PKC, bFGF and P38 in myocardial tissue. Results: Compared with the sham operation group, the cardiac index and myocardial cell cross-sectional area of the animals in the model group were significantly larger, blood pressure increased, myocardial tissue CVF, PVCA, type I and III collagen production increased, and the expression of PKC, bFGF and P38 increased significantly. (P<0.05). Wild chrysanthemum water extract can significantly reduce cardiac index and blood pressure, reduce the cross-sectional area of cardiomyocytes, reduce PVCA, CVF, type I and III collagen, and reduce the expression of PKC, bFGF and P38 (P<0.05). Conclusion: Wild chrysanthemum aqueous extract has the effect of reducing myocardial collagen deposition and resisting experimental ventricular remodeling. Its mechanism of action is related to reducing cardiac load and regulating signal conduction. For further information of this article and research, feel free to contact our team for asssitance.
