Abstract
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Junggar Aconitum and its processed products on type II collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) rats. Methods A blank control group, a model group, a positive control group (dexamethasone acetate tablets 6 mg¡¤kg-1), Junggar Aconitum and its three processed products were established in high, medium and low dose groups. Except for the blank control group, all other groups used bovine II collagen emulsion and Freund’s complete adjuvant (FCA) to induce rat CIA model. Each group was administered intragastric administration after modeling inflammation for 6 consecutive weeks. The effects of each drug on the joint swelling rate of CIA rats were observed. The ELISA method was used to detect the levels of IL-2, SA, and TNF-¦Á in the serum of each group. Pathological sections of the synovial tissue of the knee joint of CIA rats were taken and stained, and the pathological changes of the synovial tissue were observed using an optical microscope. Results ¢Ù Compared with the blank control group, the joint swelling rate, serum IL-2, SA, and TNF-¦Á levels of rats in the model group were higher than those of the blank control group (P<0.01), and the inflammatory pathological changes in the synovial joints of rats were significant; ¢Ú Compared with the model group, Junggar Aconitum and its processed products can reduce the joint swelling rate and serum IL-2, SA, and TNF-¦Á contents in CIA rats (P<0.05 or P<0.01); ¢ÛCompared with the model group, Junggar Aconitum and its processed products can improve the inflammatory pathological changes of joint synovium in CIA rats.
