Abstract
Abstract Objective To explore the time pattern of formation of type ¢ñ and type ¢ó collagen in the early lung tissue of rats infected with silica dust. Methods: The tracheal exposure method was used to establish an animal model of silicosis. The lung tissue was taken to make paraffin sections, stained with Sirius red method, and observed under a polarized light microscope. The expression of type ¢ñ and ¢ó collagen was quantitatively analyzed using an image analysis system. The results showed that on the 3rd day after exposure to silica dust, type ¢ó collagen began to proliferate, and on the 7th day after exposure to silica dust, type ¢ñ collagen began to proliferate. , until the 28th day after being exposed to silica dust. These two types of collagen increased progressively. The positive area percentages of type I and type III collagen increased to varying degrees after being exposed to silica dust. On the 7th, 14th, and 14th days after being exposed to silica dust, On the 21st and 28th day, the percentage of positive area of type ¢ñ collagen increased by 27.12 (P£¼0.01), 24.73 (P£¼0.01), 16.01 (P£¼0.05), and 52.45 (P£¼0.01) respectively. The third day after exposure to silica dust On day 28 and day 28, the percentage of type ¢ó collagen positive area increased by 2.20 (P£¼0.01) and 24.13 (P£¼0.01) respectively. Conclusion Type ¢ñ and ¢ó collagen increased significantly in rats exposed to silica dust. Type ¢ñ and ¢ó collagen hyperplasia appeared. The phases are different. On the 3rd day after exposure to silica dust, type III collagen began to appear. On the 7th day after exposure to silica dust, type ¢ñ collagen began to form. After that, type ¢ñ and ¢ó collagen showed a progressive increase trend. Sirius Scarlet-polarized light microscopy is a more accurate method for quantitative detection of type I and III collagen.
