Abstract
In a molecularly crowded environment and uniform load, type I collagen is used to produce directional and ordered collagen fibers. Using oriented and ordered collagen fibers as templates, Zn2+ is loaded and calcined at high temperature to prepare ZnO fibers. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and physical property analyzers were used to characterize the morphology and mechanical properties of collagen fibers and the morphology of ZnO fibers. The effects of uniform load and collagen concentration on the directionality of collagen fibers were discussed. The influence of collagen concentration and Zn2+ concentration on the growth morphology of ZnO, etc. The results show that in a molecularly crowded environment, the uniform load exerted on the collagen solution induces the orientation of the collagen fibers after gelation, causing the collagen fibers to be oriented and ordered. The tensile strength of oriented collagen fibers is about 56% higher than that of non-oriented collagen fibers. Low-concentration collagen/Zn2+ solution can form ZnO fibers that retain the morphology of collagen fibers
