Preparation And Characterization Of Sheep Bone Collagen Fibers

Abstract
Collagen fibers are prepared by using sheep bones as raw materials and removing minerals from them using hydrochloric acid. The effects of factors such as hydrochloric acid concentration and system temperature on the preparation of sheep collagen fibers were investigated, and their influence patterns were revealed. The optimal conditions for preparing sheep bone collagen fibers in the laboratory are as follows: 25 g of sheep bone particles per 100 mL of acid solution, a hydrochloric acid solution concentration of 0.6 mol/L, a system temperature of 25¡ãC, and changing the acid solution every 8 hours. . The prepared collagen fibers were tested by XRD, FT IR, DSC and SEM. The results showed that the crude protein mass fraction of collagen fibers was 96.54%; when the system pH=8.5, the shrinkage temperature of collagen fibers was 62.6¡ãC; the diameter of collagen microfibers was approximately is 50~100 nm, and maintains a complete triple helix structure and a typical peptide chain structure.
