Abstract
Objective: To explore the protective effects and related mechanisms of cod skin collagen peptides with different molecular weight segments on alcohol-induced gastric mucosal injury. Methods: Collagen was extracted from cod skin and enzymatically hydrolyzed with complex enzymes to prepare collagen peptides of different molecular weight segments. A rat acute gastric mucosal injury model induced by high volume fraction of alcohol was used to observe and analyze the degree of gastric mucosal damage and analyze the gastric tissue. and serum physiological and biochemical indicators were tested. Results: Compared with the model group, collagen peptides could reduce hemorrhagic damage of gastric glands in rats, reduce Ca2+ content and myeloperoxidase activity in gastric tissue (P<0.05); among them, medium molecular weight collagen peptides had the best effect. The gastric mucosal damage index of rats in the group dropped to 9.21% (P£¼0.01), and the damage inhibition rate was 57.16%; collagen peptides can increase the glycoprotein content in gastric tissue (P£¼0.05), reduce the malondialdehyde content in gastric tissue, and improve Gastric tissue superoxide dismutase activity and serum glutathione content (P<0.05). Conclusion: Collagen peptides can protect against acute gastric mucosal injury by enhancing the gastric mucosal barrier and the body's anti-free radical oxidation level in rats.
