Abstract
Burn injuries are one of the most severe forms of critical illness and are associated with widespread and long-lasting bodily metabolic and psychiatric disorders. After a burn, the skin loses its protective function, leaving the body prone to many complications. The gold standard treatment for burn wounds is autologous skin grafting; however, due to insufficient amounts of donor skin, this may not always be an option. Wound dressings may be used as primary treatment in patients without skin grafts. Many different materials are used to make dressings; current materials include collagen, hydrocolloids, alginates, hydrogels, and hyaluronic acid, among others. There is currently no gold standard for burn dressings that is universally accepted by the industry. An ideal wound dressing should possess basic properties such as biocompatibility, moisture retention, breathability, etc. for optimal performance. Furthermore, collagen has been shown to have many beneficial properties and is beneficial for burn patients. The author collected relevant literature on the application of collagen dressings to burn wounds, including its clinical application and progress. Relevant research results show that collagen-related materials have a positive impact on burn wounds. However, Colla-gen has been shown to have a number of beneficial properties and is beneficial for use in burn pa-tients. We collected the literature on the application of Collagen dressings to burn wounds, includ-ing their clinical application and progress . The results show that Collagen material has a positive effect on burn wounds.
