Abstract
Objective: To explore the effect and preliminary mechanism of Qingpeng ointment in treating collagen arthritis in rats. Methods: A rat arthritis model induced by type II collagen was prepared. A toe swelling meter was used to measure the joint swelling index of rats. ELISA was used to measure peripheral blood IL-1¦Â levels. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect joint synovium IL-1¦Á. and the expression of TNF-¦Á, and the pathological changes of the joint synovium were observed histologically. Results: Qingpeng ointment had a significant inhibitory effect on foot swelling in the collagen arthritis animal model. The joint swelling index, joint cavity IL-1¦Á, and TNF-¦Á expression levels in the administration group were lower than those in the model control group. Conclusion: Qingpeng ointment can improve the symptoms of collagen-induced arthritis, and this effect is related to its reduction in the expression of IL-1¦Á and TNF-¦Á in the joint synovium.
