Abstract
The host tree of the lac bug Kerria chinensis Mahd is the material basis for lac production. In addition to being directly related to the type or strain of the lac bug, the quality of lac also has obvious differences depending on the type of host tree. In order to select host tree species with good gum production quality, the commonly used ones for lac production in my country are: Dalbergia obtusifolia Prain, Dalbergia szemaoensis Prain, Nanling Dalbergia obtusifolia Prain, and Flemingia macrophylla (Willd )Merr, Pueraria wallichii DC., Schleichera oleosa (Lour.)Oken., Butea monosperma (Lamk,)Taub.
