Abstract
Objective: To study the therapeutic effect of deer tendon collagen on adjuvant arthritis in rats. Methods: Adjuvant arthritis (AA) in Wistar male rats induced by complete Freund’s adjuvant (CFA) was used as the research object. Toe swelling, body weight, and IL-l¦Â in serum were observed before and after deer tendon collagen treatment. and TNF-¦Á inflammatory cytokines, MDA content and SOD activity in serum. Results: Deer tendon collagen can significantly inhibit primary and secondary foot swelling in AA rats, inhibit the secretion of inflammatory cytokines IL-l¦Â and TNF-¦Á in AA rats, enhance SOD activity, and reduce MDA content. Conclusion: Deer tendon collagen has a significant therapeutic effect on adjuvant arthritis induced by Freund’s adjuvant in rats.
